KitQC2
Create, change and delete content
When you open a file, you will be asked if you wish to open a file for learning or editing. Choose editing.
Delete Content
Since the program is free, you can just delete anything that you already know. This way, you can concentrate on the essential. The buttons are pretty obvious. You can delete an entire chapter or you can open a chapter and delete selected facts. The chapter screen has a Delete button and the Chapter Facts screen has a Delete button.
Change Content
KitQC2 allows you to Edit content from the Chapter and Chapter Facts screens. It also lets you Edit This Fact while you are working in the learning exercises. If you find that spaces, punctuation are bothering you then you can change all that while you are learning. This is very convenient. You don’t have to take a lot of notes and then go back and change stuff.
Adding Content
There are two ways to add content. You can simply use the Chapter and Chapter Facts screens (like any program) to add Facts one at a time.
You can also add stuff by importing a text file. This is a nice feature.
Let’s say that you have a company that makes clothing. You want your staff to know all the words in French about the clothing you make.
Try this with a couple of facts before
you make a huge learning file!
Step 1) Open the Windows program Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad).
Step 2) Add one line as the title for your new chapter (Example : AboutBestClothing clothing words)
Step 3) Adding the facts. You put the question on one line and the answer on the next line and then a blank line.
Don’t forget to add a blank line after the last fact!
Now your file looks like this :
AboutBestClothing Clothing Words
ABC chemise.mp3
chemise
ABC pantalon.mp3
pantalon
Step 4) The tricky part : make the sound files and put them into the Multimedia directory of the KitQC2 learning file where you wish to add your new chapter (for instance : KitQC2 6 Vocabulaire Multimedia).
Step 5) Open one of the KitQC2 files for editing (for instance : KitQC2 6 Vocabulaire) and go the the list of Chapters.
Click on the line in the list where you wish to add your new chapter.
Now, press Import. You can choose the file you made from the list of files. Your facts will be added to the learning file.
Again : It’s pretty easy but
be sure to try this with a couple of facts before
you make a huge learning file!.
